Vietnam is an extremely friendly country which is now emerging from its troubled past with a vibrant economy and developing tourism infrastructure. The mountains in the north of the country provide excellent trekking amongst the varied ethnic minority hill tribes, whilst in the south, the plains of the Mekong Delta offer a superb network of quiet trails which are ideal for cycling.
