20th Century Art in Mexico
One of our most specialised options includes the great 20th century masters of Mexico. This includes the work of Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo, as well as Siquieros and Orozco who were other great muralists of the period. We have a wonderful thematic itinerary that focuses on the lives, works, and legacies of these great artists.
Rivera’s works can be seen across Mexico City, including at the: Palacio Nacional, Antiguo Colegio de San Ildefonso, Secretaria de Education Publica, Museo Estudio Diego Rivera, Museo de Artre Moderno, Museo Mural Diego Rivera, Museo Nacional de Arte, Teatro de los Insurgentes, and Palacio de Bellas Artes.
The focus on Frida Kahlo would include: a walking Tour of San Angel and Coyocan, the Museo de Arte Carillo-Gil, the Museo Frida Kahlo, and the Jardin de Frida Kahlo. This thematic day will allow participants to get to know the life, inspirations, and work of the artist they simply called “Frida.”
