We believe the most enduring travel impressions are forged by the chance to meet local people and experience first-hand the unique aspects of a local culture. Accordingly, in all of our worldwide destinations, we offer a variety of cross-cultural activities you can choose to include in your itinerary. These vary from visits to local schools, to dance or cookery classes, and to evening activities in local theatres or sports arenas.

A primary focus of every Casterbridge tour is to help group members develop connections with local people and to develop a deeper understanding of their life. So we encourage our group leaders to include homestays with local families, to participate in hands-on workshops and artisan demonstrations, to engage in ethnic activities from street theatre to folk festivals, and to visit local markets and craft-makers.
