Casterbridge Planet Earth – Service, Learning & Volunteer Travel Programmes

The driving philosophy of Casterbridge Planet Earth is to facilitate worldwide service learning and volunteer travel experiences that raise social consciousness and environmental awareness. We simultaneously aim to provide:

On-location insights into science, nature and the environment.
Immersion into local communities that provides authentic opportunities for charitable visits and work on local projects.

All Planet Earth Programmes include a study of the environment and some level of practical experience with community service. Our group leaders can select from three specific levels of programmes, which have varying levels of service involvement (EcoTours, ContribuTour and VolunTours). These experiences allow for authentic civic engagement that delivers meaningful service and can genuinely impact the wellbeing of local communities in Africa, Asia and the Americas.

We always work closely with our group leaders to design a Planet Earth experience that is most appropriate for your group’s age range and specific areas of interest. While targeting your group’s service emphasis (science, environment, nature or community), we will educate your group about global environmental concerns. Also, many of our service experiences will offer you a hands-on opportunity to address some of the issues concerned.
