Casterbridge’s Quality Accommodations for Sports Tours

Casterbridge emphasises quality accommodations for groups in hotels that are clean, safe, and convenient, and normally reflect the charm and character of the area you are visiting. We use twins or, on occasion, a triple room (if you have an odd number in your group). In capitals and major cities, we use centrally located hotels that make sightseeing and use of public transport (cost always included) easy and efficient.

In our standard touring programmess, our accommodation for groups is in 3-Star (and occasionally 4-star or superior 2-Star) tourist class hotels, with private en-suite bathroom in each room guaranteed. They always offer comfort, peace of mind, and excellent value for money.

Whenever possible, we steer away from the large, impersonal, ‘concrete block’ hotels and, instead, seek out smaller, family-owned hotels that combine modern comforts with local character.

As further indication to our commitment to quality, both the group leader and the Tour Manager/Guide evaluate all our hotels after every group’s visit. With the benefit of detailed feedback secured from this continuous assessment process, we only reuse those properties that receive the highest grades and are consistently well evaluated by our groups and tour participants.

No Multi-Bedded Rooms, Cots, or Sofas

Although many tour operators describe themselves as “the trendsetter in quality accommodations,” you might be surprised to discover in their small print that they add sofa beds and camp beds to twin rooms to cram multiple students in. We certainly do not consider sofa beds and camp beds to be quality accommodations for groups and ensure that all our hotel rooms are equipped with standard beds for all participants.

Flexibility To Suit Your Budget

Casterbridge Tours has excellent contacts and buying power with hotel properties and accommodation vendors around the globe, so we can provide any standard of accommodations for your group at competitive rates.

If your group’s budget is restricted, we can provide accommodation in university halls of residence, superior youth hostels, or one star hotels, although we never sacrifice cleanliness and comfort for cost saving.

Alternatively, we can upgrade our Standard Tourist Class hotels to guarantee Superior Tourist or First Class hotels.

Do Adults Pay a Different Price than Students?

On our standard touring programs, all participants pay the same tour prices. We do not charge adult supplements because we base our quotes on group admission rates and twin rooming.

As such, adult supplements are not required. The only supplement an adult may incur is for a single room, if a participant requests one while on tour.
